I’ve often wondered to myself why I’ve poured so much of my time into activities of consumption – news, games, social media, movies and streaming services and, perhaps egregious of all, unhealthy eating, just to name a few – and so little on ones of growth, nourishment, and fulfillment. I have ended far too many days wishing I had accomplished more – built something, went for a walk, hike or ride, experienced art, shared a laugh and deep connection over coffee with a close friend, or a serendipitous moment with a stranger.
Part of building something in some part includes even the simple pleasure of writing; having the opportunity to capture my thoughts and experiences, and at least through a certain lens, share those thoughts with you.
Today, I am hoping to move closer toward actualizing some of these desires and fulfilling a deeper life purpose.
What is Sound of Logic?
Before I answer that, a little about me. I am a huge technology enthusiast with an inducement for exploring emerging innovations, and understanding how these advancements can play a practical role in our lives. I’m passionate about many things beyond technology of course, including wellness, spirituality, connecting with people, the arts, etc. And so, my hope with Sound of Logic is to discover and share the ways in which technology enables and improves our daily lives, interactions and activities. I’m not interested in having and using tech for the sake of tech (although I won’t pretend to suggest I haven’t fallen trap to many unnecessary purchases under this very premise in my time), but to explore the healthy ways we can use technology during this frenetic sprint of advancement for good in our everyday lives. Don’t be evil, and don’t use technology for fulfilling your evil pursuits. Ha!
Sound of Logic will certainly tackle a wide array of topics, even if there are common themes woven into its tapestry. We are complex creatures after all, and life wouldn’t nearly be awesome enough if we only cared or talked aboutl one thing all the time.
I welcome you to come along for the ride.
